SL Dental Centre is registered with the Canadian Dental Care Program (CDCP).
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federal government program designed to help Canadians without dental insurance access affordable oral healthcare. Here's a breakdown of how it works:
ELIGIBILITY:
- *Income: To be eligible, you must have an adjusted family net income below $90,000 per year.
- *Age: The CDCP is available to children under 18, seniors 65 and over, and adults with a valid federal Disability Tax Credit certificate.
- *Dental Insurance: You cannot have private dental insurance coverage.
ENROLLMENT:
- *Online Application: You can apply online through the Government of Canada website.
- *Eligibility Verification: Your eligibility will be verified based on the information you provide.
Services Covered
Basic Dental Care: The CDCP covers a variety of basic dental services, including:
- Dental exams
- X-rays
- Cleaning
- Fillings
- Extractions
- Root canals
Major Dental Services
The CDCP may also cover major dental procedures such as dentures and partial dentures, but these will require pre-authorization for approval.
Costs/Co-Payments
The CDCP covers a portion of the cost of dental services, depending on your family income, you may be required to pay a co-payment for your dental care. You will be responsible for any fees charged by your dental provider that exceed the CDCP's established rates.
If you would like to know what your portion will be on a treatment scheduled with us, we recommend that you contact our office in advance for us to submit a predetermination on your behalf at least 1 week prior to the appointment.
